Why We Do This
Ten computers. That's what started this. My own shop had ten machines running Windows 10, and when Microsoft ended security support for it, I couldn't afford to just let that vulnerability sit there. So I started experimenting with Linux — not because it was trendy, but because it was the only way to keep good hardware secure without paying for new machines or expensive licenses.
What I found surprised me. Computers twelve, fourteen, even sixteen years old came back to life. Slower, sure — but push past twelve years old and even that gap starts to disappear. And once the desktop is set up right, it looks and feels like what people already know. Most folks never have to touch a terminal.
I'm a retired Navy Lieutenant and a Professional Engineer, and I believe technology shouldn't be a barrier between a church, a nonprofit, a school, or a family and the work they're called to do. Ezekiel 37:5 says, "Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live." That's the idea behind the name — old machines, given new life, back to work for people who need them.
Every machine I refurbish is business-class hardware, set up secure and up to date, with no Windows 10 vulnerabilities and no license fees hanging over your head. I include a free 1-hour training session with every one, so your staff or volunteers are comfortable from day one.

Dan is a retired Navy Lieutenant and Professional Engineer who founded Resurrection Computers out of a simple conviction: technology shouldn't be a barrier between a church, a nonprofit, or a family and the work God has called them to do. Drawing on years of engineering discipline and a heart for service, Dan takes donated and aging hardware and gives it new purpose — rebuilding it into reliable, affordable computers for the churches, schools, nonprofits, and individuals across the CSRA who need them most. For Dan, this work isn't just about fixing machines. It's about resurrection — taking what's been set aside and giving it a second life to serve a greater purpose.
